Do you ever get the feeling that time seems to speed up the older you get?

The Dictionary of Obscure Sorrows, who previously explained the fear of taking the same photo as everyone else, has unveiled a fascinating video that explains this phenomenon called “zenosyne”, or “the sense that time keeps going faster.”

Stating that how as babies, we don’t feel the effects of time as it is “something that happens to other people”, the video delves into how we get into a rhythm where days, months and years start to zoom by.

Eventually, the passing of time resembles a spiral in which you’re halfway through, and more and more, you get the sense that you’re “running somewhere” even when you’re sitting still.
