A former art restorer, Thierry Poncelet grew bored of his job one day and decided to replace the head of an aristocrat with that of a dog’s.
Startled by the result of the first “aristochien”, he decided to paint more with the support of his family and friends.
While amusing in nature, Poncelet actually has great admiration for the Old Masters and strives as much to imitate their painting techniques in his work.
The artist also hopes that more people would give old portraiture its due after looking at his work.
