By bringing together photography and painting, French artist Fabienne Rivory has created a series of poetically composed images that features mirrored landscape pictures layered over with bright watercolor paint.
Using photographs from her personal collection, the artist’s minimalist black and white works are actually her individual memories but can also be universally evocative for any viewer.
Made of gouache or ink, the paintings—in the forms of splatters, lines and splotches—are digitally combined with the photographs to add vibrant accents, making them ‘pop’ visually.
