Chicago-based artist Justin Gershenson-Gates creates intricate and beautiful mechanical insects using parts recycled from old watches.
With his elaborate ‘clockwork’ creations, Gershenson-Gates aims to show “the beauty of the mechanical world, a place generally hidden from the public behind metal and glass”.
His gorgeous works of art “display the more delicate and ephemeral side of gears, rather than the cold, hard factory feel they normally portray”.
