Poking fun at the common client request to “make the logo bigger”, San Francisco-based art direct and designer Andrew Wendling started a cheeky Tumblr blog that literally zoomed into famous logos.
Instead of just making the logo bigger, he deliberately went overboard with the enlarging until only a small part of the logo is visible—this leads to the creation of striking, often minimalist, graphics made up of blocks of colors.
The interesting thing about this project is that despite only showing a tiny portion of the full logo, most people would still be able to name the brand each image represents.
Head over to the “Make The Logo Bigger” Tumblr blog for more of these visually pleasing, bold graphic images that are derived from some of the world’s best-known logos—how many of these brands can you identify?
