Artist and designer Sebastian Errazuriz has embarked on a new project where he would create 12 pairs of shoes that are inspired by 12 of his former lovers and his relationships with them.
Aptly titled “12 Shoes for 12 Lovers”, he is up to his 10th pair—so far, his fantastical shoe designs are all wonderfully imaginative, and yet, many of them look surprisingly wearable.
Our favorite from the collection is a pair of white wedges that makes it look as though the wearer has stepped suddenly into a puddle of milk, resulting in splashes rising up around her feet.
Each pair of shoes is accompanied by the artist’s personal photos and stories of the relationship in question. The shoes are also named after the ex-girlfriends—and their signature character trait—who inspired them.
