Double-Ended Teaspoons Instil Sugar-Scooping Manners

For the Tate Britain gallery cafe’s reopening, London-based German artist Nicole Wermers designed a double-ended teaspoon—according to a report by Dezeen.

The unique ‘Manners Teaspoons’ have two heads each: one for scooping sugar, and the other for stirring.

Making drinking tea or coffee more personal, and also instilling some manners at the table—the teaspoon does not require tea drinkers to used a shared utensil for when getting sugar for their drink. It also helps to decrease the number of cutlery required at a tea party.

In a bid to reflect the changing shape of teaspoons over the 20th century, Wermers also gave each teaspoon head a different shape and style: the 1950s-style scooper has a smaller head, while the 1980s-style scooper has a larger head.

Would this teaspoon come in handy for your tea and coffee sessions?
