The festive season has companies trying to get us to buy their products, but this Christmas-themed Greenpeace ad is vastly different as it compels us to look at the ills of global warming.
In this short video, Santa faces the camera and pleads the audience to stop global warming as it is affecting his work at the North Pole. He says that he has written to the Presidents all over the world, but they have made the “Naughty List” as they do not seem to care.
He goes on to add that Christmas may be canceled, and that we must do something to save the environment before it’s too late.
Although sobering in nature, this ad shows that giving the environment our care is more important—lest there be empty stockings on Christmas day.
