The ‘World’s Largest’ Gingerbread House Fits A Family Of Five

To raise money for the trauma programme at the nearby St Joseph Hospital, members of the A&M Texas Traditions Club have build the “world’s largest” gingerbread house.

This 22-foot house was made with almost a ton of butter, 7,200 eggs, as well as an immense amount of sugar and flour. 22,304 pieces of candy were used to decorate the house, and this whole confection contains 36 million calories.

The house has set a Guinness World Record, earning a total of US$150,000, averaging 600 visitors a day.

This gigantic confection is open until December 14 2013.
