Japanese retailer UNIQLO has launched a fun cooking app that combines food, style and music.
Created with the help of Projector, the mobile app for iPhones and iPads—named ‘UNIQLO RECIPE’—features 24 original recipes that were inspired by UNIQLO outfits and its LifeWear philosophy: “Clothes for a better life, for everyone, every day.”
The recipes were developed by six top emerging chefs from the US, and were created using everyday ingredients and cooking techniques.
It also gives users step-by-step instructions on how to create each dish, to make it easy for users to make them at home by themselves.
Fusing fashion with food, for each recipe, the chef was dressed in the outfit that inspired the dish—to highlight the relationship between colors and textures. The looks of the chefs could also be purchased through the app.
UNIQLO RECIPE also features a timer and cooking sounds—the timer can be used on its own or as part of the recipes.
Download the app on the App Store.
