
With “selfie” being word of the year, it seems unsurprising that we can now unlock our phones with one.
Called FaceCrypt, the app also includes security features like asking the user to blink to prove that they are human and augmenting access with pattern matching and passwords.
Users can store important details like credit card numbers, passwords, or any top secret documents, but there are some drawbacks—the system may not recognize your face if you have a new hairdo or mustache.
The app costs US$5—a more expensive version with icons costs US$7.
