Miniature Cities Pop Up On The Foods That Are Iconic Of Them

London

To remind people of the relationship between their city and the typical meal that defines it, illustrator Bea Crespo and photographer Andrea G.Portoles have collaborated on a photo-illustration project titled “BrunchCity” that features miniature landscapes of famous cities popping up on the foods that are iconic of them.

The beautifully composed images are eye-catching and whimsical—according to its creators, they combined “food, traveling, photography and lots of creativity to get this result”.

For instance, while paper illustrations of the Eiffel Tower and other structures of the French capital are displayed on top of a crisp, golden brown croissant, Rome’s landmarks are perched on a gelato cone.

A new image is released every two weeks on the BrunchCity blog, on which you can view the entire archives of the project.
