The 57th Grammy Awards was held in Los Angeles on Sunday, and this year the Recording Academy seemed to have taken a leaf out of the Golden Globes’ book with its Instagram account featuring beautiful and intimate backstage portraits of musicians.
Once reserved only for the winners’ eyes, the photographs are now available to the public for the first time, marking a major break with tradition for the awards show.
Shot by renowned music photographer Danny Clinch, the portraits include that of Sam Smith, Jay-Z and Beyoncé, ‘Weird Al’ Yankovic, Lady Gaga, and Tony Bennett.
