Artist Creates Beautiful, Intricate Snow Murals On The Mountainsides

We have previously featured Simon Beck's awe-inspiring snow art.



The muralist's recent creations bring him to the mountains of Banff National Park, where he uses his signature tool, which are a compass, a map drawing and a pair of snowshoes.



His time-lapse video shows the whole process of creating a wolf at Lake Louise Ski Resort, a giant maple leaf at Sunshine Village and his largest piece, a snowflake measuring almost 1,500 foot wide. LED lighting is used to retrace Beck's steps making the snowflake look like a huge light painting.
