To make waiting times and delayed flights fun and stylish, Swedish furniture brand IKEA has set up a temporary longue in Paris’ Roissy-Charles de Gaulle airport’s Terminal 3.
The 200-square meter space, dubbed the ‘IKEA Lounge’, is made up of 9 rooms, a living room, and a children’s area, furnished with TVs, sofas and beds with IKEA mattresses.
The brand installed the area for those waiting for their flights to rest and relax (whether napping, reading or watching TV)—to show its “commitment of improving the everyday life for the many,” according to a statement.
“Because waiting time in the boarding area is on average 1 hour and 43 minutes, IKEA wanted its expertise in interior design to serve the economy class,” the company wrote.
The IKEA Longue will be open until 5 August for those who wish to visit. Just be sure not to forget and miss your flight!
