With Apple’s big court victory over Samsung last week, what does it mean for the future of technology and patent infringements?
In a parody-mash up video entitled ‘Patenterprise’, created late last year—with video taken from Season 5 of Star Trek: The Next Generation (copyright of Paramount Pictures)—the guys who do HAL 9000 imagine the future: what Star Trek would be like after a receiving a court order from Apple’s lawyers.
Shortly after a lawsuit with ‘futuristic’ Apple, The Enterprise encounters a ‘Romulan Warbird’… In which, Captain Jean-Luc Picard (played by Patrick Stewart) discovers how the ship’s gear clearly copies Siri and other Apple technologies.
How does it end? Let’s just say it doesn’t look good for Star Trek.
