If patience is a virtue, British artist Peter Root has clearly demonstrated that he is a patient man by spending over 40 hours to construct a city of staples in an art installation he calls ‘Ephemicropolis’.
According to Root, he broke stacks of staples into various sizes and arranged them over a floor area of approximately 600 x 300 cm, with the tallest ‘building’ being 12cm high.
Using only his hands—over 100,000 staples were stacked to build this massive metropolis of steel.
