Beer Concentrate, Just Add Water: For Drinking On The Go

Alaska-based company Pat’s Backcountry Beverages has found a portable way to let you make soda or beer, by simply adding ‘water’.

The company created a line of concentrated beverages and a portable carbonator bottle—so that it’s easier to transport your favorite carbonated drink.

All users need to do is to mix the concentrates with water and carbonating agent, in the bottle, and shake it to whip up their beer or soda.

According to the company, the beer concentrate is not dehydrated beer—rather, it’s brewed through an innovative process to create nearly waterless beer that contains flavour alcohol and aroma of microbrewed beer.

“We want to help bring about the end of packaging beverages in plastic, glass or aluminium disposable containers and needlessly burning fuel to ship what is essentially ‘water’,” the company wrote in a statement. “Our portable carbonation system makes available the option of an environmentally, socially and sustainable responsible carbonated beverage to conscientious consumers around the world.”

Pat’s Backcountry Beverages’ powdered sodas will be available end of August, while its beer concentrate is slated for release in 2013.

Just another thing to add to your zombie apocalypse kit, in case you’ve to be on the run.
