August 10th, 2012 marked the 50th anniversary of Spider-Man.
Throughout these 50 years, he has become Marvel’s most recognized character and is still widely considered their flagship superhero.

According to the infographic, Spider-Man has gone through various costume changes—some examples include his ‘‘Scarlet Spider’ outfit (worn by clones of Peter Parker), his ‘Symbiote’ black suit (which we’ve all seen from the movie) and ‘‘Iron Spider’ suit (an armor suit given to him by Tony Stark aka Iron-Man).
The infographic also introduces us to Spider-Man’s multiple love interests throughout his 50 years—notable mentions include Gwen Stacy, Felicia Hardy and of course, Mary-Jane Watson.
If you don’t already know, Spider-Man will be getting a new side-kick for the very first time in The Amazing Spider-Man series, issue #692—which goes on sale soon, on August 22, 2012.
