Paris-based American digital media artist Evan Roth has conceived of a way to capture the movement of graffiti artists while they are at work.
By using a custom software, he was able to visualize, document and analyze the subtle gestures that these artists made when creating their colorful street art.
Applying this process to the work of Cap—a graffiti artist featured in the 1983 documentary Style Wars—Roth then translated the data collected into a 3D printed model.
These unconventional sculptures reflect the fluidity of movement that goes into the making of graffiti art.
