New Logo
‘Kentucky for Kentucky’ is a campaign launched by Kentuckians to rebrand their beloved state.
Unhappy with their state’s current ‘Unbridled Spirit’ brand, campaign organizers Griffin van Meter, Whit Hiler and Kent Carmichael set out to develop a new viable brand and tagline for the state.
Together with the help of local design studio Cricket Press, they came out with a new logo and slogan—‘Kentucky Kicks Ass’.
According to the campaign’s website, the mission is to “increase tourism, attract new business, foster pride, diminish stereotypes, unify the Commonwealth, and distinguish Kentucky from any place on the planet”.
The organizers have created a series of print ads, merchandise and videos to promote the campaign.
