‘Naming Booth’ Invites Visitors To Suggest New Names For Iceland

Iceland has created the world’s first “naming booth”, where visitors to the island is invited to suggest alternative names for the country that better describe it.

Located at the Keflavik International Airport, the booth is part of a wider “Inspired By Iceland” campaign that promotes tourism and asks visitors a simple question: What would you name Iceland if this was your first glimpse?

In just three weeks, the project received 10,000 responses—you can view the most popular contributions on the campaign website, together with the latest videos and images.

Wouldn’t it be interesting to find out what visitors would name your country based on their personal experience of it?
