Bored of the standard printing process, Netherland-based graphic designer Sam van Doorn modified an old pinball machine and turned it into a drawing device that creates ‘chaotic’ lithographic posters.
Called ‘STYN’, the machine uses ink-covered balls to create unpredictable patterns on temporary posters placed on the game's playing surface.
According to van Doorn, he suggested that skill becomes a factor, because the better the player is, the more complex the drawing becomes.
