Pizza Hut Canada has introduced a bizarre new perfume that will leave you smelling like fresh dough out of the oven.
According to Business Insider, the pizza-scented perfume was initially part of a social engagement post on Facebook, led by advertising firm Grip Limited.
The post wanted fans to think of dream names for an imaginary scent inspired by “the smell of a box of Pizza Hut pizza being opened”.
Fans reacted so well to the post that Pizza Hut decided to make an actual perfume.
A month and half later—after Pizza Hut Canada’s Facebook page passed the 100,000th fan mark—the company offered a bottle of perfume to the first 100 fans that sent a direct message through Facebook asking for it.
According to Pizza Hut’s director of marketing Beverly D’Cruz, she noted that the perfume will be more entertaining than aromatic.
“We discovered it was hard to match the smell of freshly baked bread, but it smells somewhere close,” she said.
She also added that fans could spray the perfume around the room to make it smell like pizza.
