Our understanding of time has changed, and Norwegian university student Audun Ask Blaker is also changing the way we perceive time.
By replacing a clock’s round face with a measuring tape that resembles a ruler, Blaker realized that he views time as a linear progression rather than a cyclical one.
Each miniature dash on the clock represents five minutes, so 12 evenly spaced dashes represent an hour.
What do you think—do you prefer clocks with round faces, or is this design a better way of measuring time?
