James Roper has created a series of drawings to show what he thinks the soul would look like, should people shed their bodies.
In this series, which is called “Rapture”, Roper was inspired by various religions which hold the belief that a pure and divine core lies beneath our corporeal bodies.
To illustrate this contrast, he has drawn the bodies of female porn stars shedding their skin to reveal the pure abstraction beneath.
Roper believes that this idea is also similar to superheroes as Clark Kent, in which the Man of steel sheds his humanity to become a hero.
