You may or may not have noticed this, but Flickr has quietly introduced a subtly redesigned logo on selected pages of the site.
Not unexpectedly, the new logo sports the distinctive shade of purple associated with its parent company, Yahoo—with the letter “r” in the logo now in purple, the pop of magenta from the former logo has been shifted to the dot above the “i”.
The Logo Smith, who spotted this logo change, thinks that “it doesn’t really work”, and has suggested an alternative logo (see image below) that aims to bring across the Yahoo branding without diluting Flickr’s identity.
