Those familiar with the Star Wars franchise will remember the scene where Darth Vader uses the Force to get a hold of Han Solo’s DL-44 Blaster. Now, this iconic pistol is up for sale.
Inspired by the gunslingers of westerns, this gun was based on the German issue Mauser C96 pistol. This original weapon, which was used in the first Star Wars movie, was cast in resin to make this one.
The gun looks worn as it has been used, and it is likely that Mark Hamill, who played Luke Skywalker, has also used it in The Empire Strikes Back as his character acquired a weapon that was similar in nature.
The blaster comes with a letter of authenticity from a Star Wars collector, and is expected to sell for US$200,000 to US$300,000.
It is the perfect present for the ultimate Star Wars fan, and we wonder who would be the lucky one to possess this one-of-kind pistol.
