Paris-based photographer Jonathan Icher looks at the food we associate with various countries in this photo series.
With the help of makeup artist Anastasia Parquet, each person has his or her country’s flag painted on, with the person about to consume the nation’s iconic foods.
We are unsure if this photo series questions stereotypes or shows that food is important to a country’s culture, but these visually-arresting works make us think about how we relate to food.
