Surreal Photographs Of Cars In Mid-Explosion

We have previously featured Fabian Oefner’s works, but the Swiss photographer has outdone himself with his latest photographs of “exploding” cars from his Disintegration series.



Although these vintage cars look like they have been blown up, Oefner actually took the cars apart carefully and sketched the positions of every piece in the final image.



He then suspended each piece with string so they appear exactly as in the sketches, before photographing them.



Finally, he put all the photographs of individual parts together in one image using Photoshop.



Oefner’s photographs are currently on display at the M.A.D Gallery in Geneva, Switzerland, with another exhibit called Hatch, which features a Ferrari breaking out of an eggshell-like carapace.
