As an ad for mouthwash brand Listerine, ad agency JWT Hong Kong created a flipbook with ‘bad breath’—to make people aware of bad breath and how to get rid of it.
The flipbook was of an attractive-looking girl who looked like she was ‘speaking’ as the book was being flipped.
But with the use special technology, the flipbook was also made to smell like onions—so that as the girl ‘spoke’, the smell emitted, and it seemed as if the attractive girl had ‘bad breath’.
At the back of the book included a coupon that offered people a free bottle of Listerine mouthwash—to convey the message that the brand effectively eliminates bacteria and bad breath after eating.
