After seeing a panel of plexiglass which had been battered by guns, Texan photographer Deborah Bay wanted to capture the “ballistic power” of bullets going through them.
Titled “The Big Bang”, these bullets do resemble galaxies exploding in outer space.
To create these photos, bullets were shot through glass by professionals at the Public Safety Institute at Houston Community College, with Bay photographing these effects after they were done.
Although she declines talking about what she thinks of gun control, the photographer does want the viewers to realize what bullets can do to a human body.
What is intriguing about these images is being able to observe the trajectory of each bullet’s fragments, as well as the beauty in its destruction.
