Instagram Photo Series Documents The Legs Of New York City Women

Stacy Baker, an associate photo editor at The New York Times Magazine, has created an interesting Instagram photo series, in which she documents the different styles and shapes of women’s legs in New York City.

Called ‘Citilegs', Baker started the project in March this year, and has since captured nearly “300 female legs in Manhattan”.

She said, “I simply look for legs that interest me. It could be the shape of a woman’s legs or her stance or what she’s wearing or some combination.”

“Like a lot of people who live in New York, I walk a great deal, and almost everywhere you look, you see wonderfully stylish people.”

“Occasionally, I get a negative response, but for the most part, the women I approach are game and seem pleased to have been asked. A number of women have told me I’ve made their day.”
