A Funny Illustrated English Textbook That Is Filled With Bizarre Sentences





To help Japanese students learn English, the writers of the textbook, English Words That Don't Appear on Tests have come up with a collection of phrases to help students familiarize themselves with the language’s more informal aspects.



The book’s Facebook page gives us a sneak preview of what its contents are like—there are humorously constructed sentences placed in downright bizarre contexts.



Some examples include mishearing “Shinjuku Station” as “frequent urination”, as well as two Chinese historical figures asking each other to “google” what they do not know.
