An Email Gets Turned Into A Heartwarming Ad For World Down Syndrome Day

‘DEAR FUTURE MOM’ is a touching ad created by agency Saatchi & Saatchi Italy for World Down Syndrome Day, which falls on 21 March.



The ad was inspired by an email sent by a pregnant mother to CoorDown—Italy’s national organization for people with Down syndrome. In the email, she expressed her fears of raising her unborn son, who has been diagnosed with the genetic disorder.



Using her email as groundwork, the agency showcased 15 people with Down syndrome, all of whom responded to the mother, giving her an idea of what to expect after her son is born.



Together, they gave her words of encouragement like “don’t be afraid” and telling her that her son “will be able to do many things”, including going to school, getting a job and taking her out for dinner.



The video ends will the tagline, “Everyone has the right to be happy”.
