Brooklyn-based artist Alyson Shotz has created an intriguing installation in which she puts up picket fences with mirrored surfaces in natural landscapes like the middle of a field.
The effect it creates is an optical illusion in which the mirrored fence interacts with its surroundings, sometimes reflecting a faraway expanse or skyline, but more often blending in to look almost invisible.
