Portuguese artist Akacorleone’s latest centerpiece exhibit at the Underdogs Gallery in Lisbon is an anamorphic art installation entitled ‘Find Yourself In Chaos’.
When viewed straight-on, the exhibits look two-dimensional. Simply two giant teal and pink circles with bold typographic letters reading ‘Find Yourself In Chaos’ and ‘Use Less’.
But view it from any other angle, and one realizes that it is all a clever optical illusion. Parts of each alphabet are in reality, broken up and painted onto different 3D objects like lamps, a chest of drawers, and other household items.
