Clever Resume Print Ads Highlight The Discrimination Faced By Ex-Convicts

Following its previous film ad that creatively utilized the ‘Skip Ad’ button on YouTube to show the plight of ex-offenders, Leo Burnett London’s new ‘Ban The Box’ campaign for charity Business In The Community features cleverly written resume print ads that highlight the discrimination faced by ex-convicts as they seek to re-enter the workforce.

Through the use of creative copy, it becomes apparent that the words on the resumes reflect the thoughts of the hiring person reading them, exposing their prejudices in shunning the candidates due to their criminal past.

A link at the bottom of the ads invites readers to visit a website where they can sign a petition to remove the checkbox asking about criminal convictions found on job application forms.
