We have previously featured Nendo’s ingenious two-in-one chopsticks design. Now, the design firm has come up with a clever way to represent Starbucks’ philosophy with these new coffee mugs.
These new mugs have the company’s coffee patterns imprinted on the bottom—when held upside-down, they look like they are filled with coffee. This idea embodies Starbucks’ view of comparing life to a half-full glass, rather than a half-empty one.
Available in three “flavors”, which are Americano, Caramel Macchiato, and Latte, you can buy these mugs from Japan’s Starbucks outlets from 19 March 2014.
