Arizona-based start-up Kolelinia, founded by architects Martin Angelov and Mihail Klenov, have come up with an innovative transportation device named ‘The Halfbike’.
Described as the “low-tech version of the Segway” by design magazine Dezeen, it looks like an odd cross between a traditional tricycle and a kick scooter, with a waist-high vertical handlebar.
The rider pedals in an upright standing position, and the motion is akin to a leisurely run.
"Its combination of cycling and smooth assisted running provides a remarkably quick and fun way of urban travel," said the designers.
