‘Obscure’ is a thought-provoking portrait series by photographer Rubén Plasencia Canino that captures the gaze of the blind as they stare directly at the camera.
Forcing viewers to look directly into their eyes, Canino compares his photos series to having an open book placed in front of them. “It’s an open window that looks out onto an unknown world,” he told Slate. “If you look just a bit deeper, you can discover countless stories.”
