Thought-Provoking Vintage-Style Images Of Children Writing Out Their Vices

Los Angeles-based photographer Jamie Johnson’s latest project, ‘Vices’, illustrates “the magical innocence of youth alongside the darker recesses of human nature”.

The vintage-style series features children standing with their backs facing the camera, repetitively writing out their vices on a chalkboard, a punishment that was common in a past era.

Alongside common childish wrongdoings like “I will not pee in the pool” were slightly more sinister adult trespasses such as “I will not drink before 5pm” and “I will not play with guns”.
