An Instagram Account Of Stunning Ballet Poses Injecting Life Into Hard Streets

New York-based photographer Omar Robles’ Instagram is a gorgeous one—filled with stunning visuals of ballet dancers posing against urban backdrops, injecting life into the settings with their graceful silhouettes.

He told Mashable, “I’m in love with how you can express and create all these beautiful lines and movements with just the human body.”

He also said, “Before, you had to wait for someone to give you the green light, to have a stage, to have a platform where you could just express yourself. Now, with social media, it’s your own platform. You decide when the spotlight goes on you.”

His more than 42,000 followers on Instagram are testament to Robles’ beautiful dance shots.

Juxtaposing the fluid, graceful movement of ballet with solid urban backdrops, the resulting dance captures are a visual treat.

I'm extremely excited to share this news with you guys ! Recently a team from @mashable followed me around during a very special dance shoot with three amazing dancers to document my creative process as I shoot for my dance series. A million thanks to @tylertronson and the @mashable team for choosing to highlight my work and putting this beautiful piece together. I am beyond humbled for this opportunity.
