Animated Music Video Tells Cautionary Tale About Social Media Addiction

French star Stromae has released the music video for his new song Carmen. The video is directed by French animator Sylvain Chomet, whose charming work we have previously featured.

The video features Stromae's illustrated doppelgänger falling into the social media abyss, beginning with a gap-toothed selfie with the iconic blue Twitter bird. The video goes on to show the critical nature of social media addiction, with a crowd of oversized blue birds leading Stromae and other Twitter addicts to slaughter.

Watch the video below.

(function(d, s, id) { var js, fjs = d.getElementsByTagName(s)[0]; if (d.getElementById(id)) return; js = d.createElement(s); js.id = id; js.src = "//connect.facebook.net/en_US/sdk.js#xfbml=1&version=v2.3"; fjs.parentNode.insertBefore(js, fjs);}(document, 'script', 'facebook-jssdk'));
