Portland, Oregon-based industrial designer Joey Roth, creator of the ‘Sorapot’ and designer of a US$11,111 coffee machine, has just launched ‘Product Design: How to Launch Successful Products’, a new product design class from online learning community Skillshare.
Aimed at designers, the 60-minute course features Roth sharing his design philosophy and insight into the stages of independent product design. It also includes tips on working with stakeholders, manufacturers and marketers, all illustrated with real-world examples from Roth’s years of design experience.
If you’re a designer looking to launch your own product, or someone who’s enthusiastic or curious about industrial design, this course will be right up your alley.
Students are encouraged to post their projects online for feedback; one lucky participant who submits a winning project by 15 May will receive one-on-one feedback and mentorship from Roth.
