Sofa Set That Can Be Infinitely Re-Arranged Is Like Building Blocks For Adults
This modular seating system by French designer Matali Crasset allows you to change up your furniture with ease.
Designed to be infinitely rearrangeable, the cushioned blocks are called ‘The Self-Made Seat’ and they can be adapted to the number of people, the time of day, or to suit the activities in your living space. In other words, the furniture works like building blocks for adults.
The modular seats are launching this week at the Salone del Mobile in Milan for Italian furniture company Campeggi. The blocks come in two sizes and can be made into a sofa, a series of chairs or individual poufs. Their orange straps function as decorative stripes and handles, and they are light enough to be carried around like suitcases.
