We have previously featured Verily, A New Hope, which translates the first movie from the Star Wars trilogy into Elizabethan English. Now, the sequel, The Empire Striketh Back will be available on 18 March 2014.
"Return to the star-crossed galaxy far, far away as the brooding young hero, a power-mad emperor, and their jesting droids match wits, struggle for power, and soliloquize in elegant and impeccable iambic pentameter," stated the Quirk Books website.
Authored by Ian Doescher, the book is formatted like one of The Bard’s plays, and includes a PDF guide that explains iambic pentameter, as well as a side-by-side comparison between the parody and Shakespeare’s actual plays.
Readers can also expect black and white Elizabethan-style illustrations, which will help us imagine the story better.
The final book in this trilogy, The Jedi Doth Return, will be released on 1 July 2014.
You can pre-order this book here for US$9.45
