Madrid-based artist Marlon de Azambuja has turned everyday public amenities into eye-catching, colorful urban sculptures using only duct tape.
The street-art series entitled ‘Potencial Escultórico’ or ‘Sculptural Potential’ in English, is an exploration of the potential of public elements to become works of art with a “special focus on architectural, spatial and urbanistic issues”.
Binding the emptiness in between U-shaped bicycle stand-locks, staircase railings and park benches, solid sculptures now stand in places that used to be dead space.
