Kuwait-based corporate banker Ahmed Al Emairi is also a talented artist—and his medium of choice is the Starbucks’ paper cup sleeve.
Armed with just a black pen and a lot of imagination, he makes simple but quirky doodles on the Starbucks logo that transform the famous twin-tailed mermaid—whom Emairi refers to as “Lady Starbucks”—in it into various pop culture icons.
From fictional characters like Darth Vader from Star Wars and James Bond to real-life personalities like Steve Jobs and Michael Jackson, these drawings are wonderful examples of what creative ingenuity can achieve.
Emairi also makes drawings that turn Lady Starbucks into his friends—he uploads all of his paper cup sleeve artworks onto Instagram.
