Looking for a same-same but different alternative to Starbucks?
Consider getting your daily cuppa from a coffee shop named ‘Dumb Starbucks Coffee’ that was just opened in the Los Feliz area of Los Angeles.
What’s hilarious is that everything is identical to the original, right down to the logo, menu and vibe. The only addition being the word ‘Dumb’, like the ‘Dumb Frappuccinos’ and ‘Dumb Espressos’ being offered on the menu.
They seem to have found a way to circumvent copyright laws by claiming that it is a ‘work of parody art’ and are therefore entitled under the Fair Use Doctrine.
Will ‘Dumb Starbucks Coffee’ get to stay? We’re just waiting in anticipation to see who gets the last laugh.
